  • Chance of winning: Low; about 1 in 15; 6.7%

Object of the game: To discard the entire stock in sequences of 5 cards

Solitaire Rules

Tableau (25 cards in 5 rows of 5)

  • At the beginning of the game, 20 cards are dealt from the stock to the tableau, leaving five empty spaces.

  • Discard sequences of five cards regardless of suit that are adjacent horizontally, vertically or diagonally (any two cards which touch top to bottom, side to side, or diagonally at the corners).

  • Sequences can be made from five cards in sequence up or down by rank, for example:
    J, Q, K Ace, 2
    5, 6, 5, 4, 3
    9, 8, 7, 6, 7.

  • Once placed a card cannot be moved.

  • The game is won if the entire stock is discarded, except for the last two cards which are automatically discarded.

Stock

  • After all possible sequences are discarded, deal one card at a time from the stock and place it on any of the empty spaces to try and form a new sequence of five cards.
